Sumaia Maranhão Rodrigues

Dental assistant in the Dental Department at OneLife Clinic. She holds a degree in Dental Surgery from Universidade de Santo Amaro, in São Paulo, and practised for over twenty years in private practices and in public health in Brazil, where she headed the dentistry service of a CEJAM health centre and coordinated its oral health team. That background gave her a thorough command of clinical procedures and instrumentation, to which she adds specific training in biosafety, sterilisation and infection control. She also holds a postgraduate qualification in Public Health and a specialisation in Orthopaedics and Orthodontics of the Jaws. At the clinic she prepares the patient and the clinical space, supports procedures and carries out preventive maintenance of equipment.
